The selector is back. Many moons ago, when we just ha d a big red button in the app, there was a selector present for change organizational context. We are re-introducing it in 5.5. The main difference is that now, the selector affects the view of both activity, post and emergency:
We have congealed organization categories for all three modules and are making the classification of emergencies and announcements even more accessible than before. Now, when declaring an emergency, the person reporting the emergency has the opportunity to categorize at the same time:
Several versions back we removed the plan library and just afforded the opportunity to attach multiple plans or documents to a category. This proved to be a bit of mess. There were many duplicate plans and documents being uploaded, etc. We are now re-introducing the Plan Library where plans and documents can be uploaded and stored and then applied to multiple categories and vice-versa. It is much more efficient and user friendly:
Everyone loves a picture. Icons can now be defined for all categories in all three modules:
When we released version 5.4.0, we introduced IPAWS alert viewing in the app. Since that introduction we have overhauled how those alerts are displayed and appear in the app. In 5.5 IPAWS alerts get their own banner on the main page, the affected area is shaded on the map and coming soon we will be offering an opt-in service to get those alerts in real-time based on location:
The Admin Console has been re-written from the ground up and can be found at https://admin.punchalert.com. The previous admin console will be retired effective June 15, 2020:
In release 5.4.4 we introduced a way for organizations to add an external conference line. It was cool, but definitely not an integrated experience. We now have our own secure conference server that provides a much better user experience and stays within the context of the app. A subscription can be purchased directly through the admin console:
The integration gallery continues to grow and has been re-designed for the 5.5 release. Notable additions and updates include Slack, RingCentral and Okta. If you need an integration and don't see it available, drop a note to DevTeam@punchalert.com.
