How do I reset my password?

There are several ways to reset your password. This document details those methods. A few notes on resetting your password:

  • Your password is not 'reset' in the tradition sense. An email is sent or texted to you with a link that allows you to reset your password online
  • Password requirements are: 1 upper case character, 1 number and at least 8 characters in length.

 

Method 1 - Forgotten Password forms

The forgotten password form is available on the login pages of the following portals:

  • App Login Screen
  • User Portal
  • Admin Portal
  • 911+ Subscriber Portal
  • Partner Portal
  • 911+ Connect Portal

 

Method 2 - Password Reset

The ability to directly update your password (if and once logged in) is available in these portals:

  • In app (Upper left navigation menu->Settings->Password)
  • User Portal
  • Admin Portal
  • 911+ Subscriber Portal

 

FAQ and Troubleshooting

Can my organization administrator reset it?

Yes! Your organization administrator can generate the email/text with the link.

I never received an email or text.

Please be sure and check your junk mail folder or spam folder. If you still have tried several times and not gotten any communications, please send an email to support@punchalert.com with your name and phone number and we will be able to get it reset quickly.

How often do I have to change my password?

Right now that is up to you. In the future we will be enforcing password expirations. We will announce that policy prior to it being put in place. For organizational customers it will probably be a setting that can be matched to their internal policy. If your organization is using Okta to login, then a password expiration policy is already in place and being enforced through Okta.
